Allan Scott-Douglas and Andrew Hainey in 'King Arthur' 2010 by Lucy Nordberg

The Siege Perilous was a seat at the Round Table in the court of King Arthur that was left vacant for the knight who accomplished the quest of the Holy Grail with exceptional feats of bravery. Being brave, bold and not risk averse is something that the company aspires to.

Our logo contains a fun, tongue-in-cheek representation of the 'seat' - a brightly striped dining room chair illuminated as though it were on a stage!

Avalon, the name of our mentorship programme, is a legendary island featured in the Arthurian legend. It is the place where King Arthur's sword Excalibur (Caliburnus) was forged and later where Arthur was taken to recover from his wounds after the Battle of Camlann. Avalon was associated from an early date with mystical practices and people such as Morgan le Fay.
